It’s our first Spring here in the Rocky Mountains and the season is a bit different than what we experienced living in Denver. Our huge snow piles are melting fast and we are experiencing our first “mud season.” It’s been nice to enjoy some warmer days and see things starting to come back to life, including the gardens around our new home. I’m excited to see the surrounding meadows full of wildflower this summer!
With a slower spring season, I almost forgot that it is April and Easter is just around the corner so I’m a bit behind on getting ready for this season. Fortunately, I’ve got some favorite last minute spring and Easter projects I’m revisiting to help me get ready for next week’s holiday. Here are 4 of my favorite spring holiday go-to patterns and sale to help you get ready for this season and upcoming holiday:
1. Easter Egg Hunt Table Runner
Need a last minute table decoration or hostess gift? My go-to is this fun Easter Egg table runner. Made with charm squares, this runner comes together quickly. You can start with a charm square pack or pick your favorite bright colors from your stash. You can find the pattern here.
We’ve even got a YouTube video to walk you through the steps to make your own here.
2. Estes Crochet Basket
I created this basket a few years ago when I needed a more grown up basket for my daughter who was headed to college soon. I wanted to make her something that would also be used for storage later. Since then I've made many of these quick and easy baskets, including some in solids and stripes, using spring pastels for Easter baskets. You can make your own, too, and find the pattern here.
3. Little Bunny Crochet Basket
This is a new last minute Easter project I've added to the shop this year. I designed this small and adorable basket to share with family at our Easter dinner. These crochet up quickly with worsted weight cotton yarn and are great for small treats and gifts! You can find the pattern here.
4. Little Chicks Crochet Pocket Scarf
It's not unusual for us to have snow here in Colorado around Easter, either on the Front Range, or here in the Colorado Rockies. This cheerful chicks scarf is a great way to still enjoy spring, but keep warm during those chilly spring days here. And adorable chicks at Easter always make me smile! There are 3 types of bird scarves you can make with this pattern. You can find it in our shop here.
These patterns are on 20% off in my shop through Sunday, April 20. No discount code is needed and the discount will be applies at checkout.
Let me know, too, what your favorite spring or Easter projects are. I’ve love to know what you love to make to celebrate this time of year!
Happy Spring and Happy Easter!
